Does the Use of Journals as a Form of Assessment Put into Practice Principles of Feminist Pedagogy?
Clifford, Valerie A.
Gender and Education, v14 n2 p109-21 Jun 2002
Analyzed journals of teachers within a postgraduate program to determine the type of pedagogical practice they reflected. The journals, and pedagogical processes surrounding journal use, embraced many principles of critical and feminist pedagogy and promoted reflective practice. A focus on issues reflecting a wider context of social justice was salient within the journals of teachers whose courses overtly involved such issues. (SM)
