Assessing Psychometric Properties of the Sex-Role Egalitarianism Scale (SRES) with African Americans.
McGhee, Melissa R.; Johnson, NeSonya; Liverpool, Joan
Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, v45 n11-12 p859-66 Dec 2001
Examined the psychometric properties of the Sex-Role Egalitarianism Scale in a group of African American college students, comparing scores from this sample to scores of a predominantly white norming base. While there were no significant differences between the norming sample and study sample, significant differences were found between African American men and women, with women having a more egalitarian attitude.
