Elementary and Middle/Secondary Educator's Pre and Post Training Perceptions of Ability To Instruct Students with Disabilities.
Miller, Kevin J.; Wienke, Wilfred D.; Savage, Luise B.
Rural Special Education Quarterly, v19 n3-4 p3-14 Sum-Fall 2000
One hundred sixteen rural general educators participated in an innovative 10-week training to learn instructional and behavioral strategies for working with students with disabilities in inclusive settings. Pre/post self-assessments of teaching skills showed significant improvements after training; elementary educators self-rated their skills higher than other teachers both before and after training.
