Case studies were conducted of community college instructors and their freshman writing classes to better understand what students are doing and what faculty expert of them. Findings show: students are using unevaluated resources, and there is a gap between what instructors expect students to use and what students actually use. Ways to alleviate "worries with the Web" are discussed. (AEF)
