The Effects of Teaching Parents Blended Communication and Behavior Support Strategies.
Delaney, Elizabeth M.; Kaiser, Ann P.
Behavioral Disorders, v26 n2 p93-116 Feb 2001
Four children with language delays and emergent behavior problems and their parents participated in an intervention that taught parents to be responsive to their children's communication, model developmentally appropriate language, and provide contingent consequences for compliance and noncompliance. The complexity and diversity of the children's language increased and noncompliance decreased. (Contains references.) (Author/CR)
