Examines the prevalence of smokeless tobacco use, and its relationship to other risky behaviors in school children in grades 4 through 12 (N=31,861). Among high school males, the prevalence of risk-taking behaviors and feelings of stress and depression were significantly higher among users. Joint users of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco reported the highest prevalence of risky behaviors. (Contains 21 references and 3 tables.) (Author/GCP)
