Smith-Maddox, Renee
Race, Gender & Class in Education, v7 n3 p58-80 2000
Used cross-sectional data from the 1988 National Education Longitudinal Study to explore the factors affecting the educational aspirations of African American eighth graders. Results, based on a sample of 3,009 students, indicate a combination of family, community, and school characteristics has a direct effect on aspiration. (SLD)
