Expanded School Mental Health Programs: Advancing Reform and Closing the Gap Between Research and Practice.
Weist, Mark D.; Christodulu, Kristin V.
Journal of School Health, v70 n5 p195-200 May 2000
For expanded school mental health programs to feature improved access, increased productivity, and improved behavioral outcomes, researchers, school-based mental health service providers, and educators must collaborate to move them beyond limiting constructs and approaches. The paper reviews these issues and offers an example of an ideal approach to implementing best practices in schools and closing the research-practice gap. (SM)
