Technology and Inequality Within the United States School Systems.
Maxwell, D. Jackson
Journal of Educational Thought/Revue de la Pensee Educative, v34 n1 p43-57 Apr 2000
Examines some reasons why not all students are afforded equal opportunities to acquire technology skills. Identifies three main impediments to technological equalization: gender bias, geographic and socio-economic biases, and racial bias. Attempts to show how these biases work to prevent students from receiving equal opportunities to master technological skills required of them upon graduation from high school.
