An investigation of the short-term benefits of obtaining a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree found that graduates of both full- and part-time programs fared significantly better than nongraduates in earnings, management responsibility, and satisfaction with opportunities for promotion. Graduates of the most competitive programs reported satisfaction levels similar to those of graduates of less prestigious programs. (MSE)
