Adlerian Personality Priorities: Psychological and Attitudinal Differences.
Ashby, Jeffrey S.; Kottman, Terry; Rice, Kenneth G.
Journal of Counseling & Development, v76 n4 p467-74 Fall 1998
Investigated the relationship between personality priorities (pleasing, achieving, outdoing, detaching, avoiding) and selected psychological and attitudinal variables theoretically linked to those priorities. Undergraduates (N=262) completed four personality measures, which resulted in significant differences. Findings lend support for the use of personality priorities for conceptualization in counseling practice. (Author/EMK)
