Simons, Jeffrey; Correia, Christopher J.; Carey, Kate B.; Borsari, Brian E.
Journal of Counseling Psychology, v45 n3 p265-73 Jul 1998
Marijuana motives were studied in relationship to drinking motives among college students. Internal consistency and concurrent validity of the measure, gender, and interpersonal correlates of problem use patterns were examined. Analyses supported a five-factor marijuana motives model, prediction of use-related problems, and discriminant validity of marijuana and alcohol motives. (Author/EMK)
