Aspects of the socialization process that most affect the daily lives of adolescents and how parental attitudes are related to these aspects were studied with 173 German and 135 Japanese high school students and 76 German and 95 Japanese parents. Differences in socializing contexts, adolescents' use of time, and parental attitudes are discussed. (SLD)
