Role Stressors, Burnout, Mediators, and Job Satisfaction: A Stress-Strain-Outcome Model and an Empirical Test.
Um, Myung-Yong; Harrison, Dianne F.
Social Work Research, v22 n2 p100-15 Jun 1998
A causal model that delineates the processes whereby clinical social workers experience burnout and job dissatisfaction was developed and evaluated using linear structural relationship techniques. The model was tested on questionnaire data from Florida social workers (N=165). Role conflict, role ambiguity, and social support were studied as moderating variables. (EMK)
