A study estimated and compared consequences of pharmacy clerkship placements (learning opportunities) to estimates of clerkship training costs (site impact productivity). A learning opportunity algorithm rank-ordered student activities for involvement level, completeness of experience, completeness of experiential learning cycle, and performance feedback. A site impact algorithm ranked activities for supervision level, number of supervisors, training-to-participation time ratio, and necessity. (Author/MSE)
