Apprendre l'orthographe avec un correcteur orthographique (Learning Spelling with a Spell-Checker?)?
Desmarais, Lise
Canadian Modern Language Review, v55 n1 p76-96 Oct 1998
Reports a study with 27 adults, both native French-speakers and native English-speakers, on the effectiveness of using a spell-checker as the core element to teach French spelling. The method used authentic materials, individualized monitoring, screen and hard-copy text reading, and content sequencing based on errors. The approach generated important learning gains after 12 hours of work over 4 weeks. (Author/MSE)
