Investigates how much electronic resources (e-sources) have been used in formal scholarly communication, using a case study in library and information science during 1994-96. Four citation-based indicators are used for the impact measurement. Compared with the impact of print sources, the impact of e-sources is small. Findings suggest e-source citation may depend on authors rather than the journal format. (Author/AEF)
