The effectiveness of a parenting-training program, Mothers Inside Loving Kids, was evaluated (N=40). Effects on parenting techniques and on self-esteem were studied. Data from a national profile of incarcerated women are reviewed, and the effects of mother's incarceration on children are discussed. Implications for public policy are addressed. (Author/EMK)
