Robotics and Children: Science Achievement and Problem Solving.
Wagner, Susan Preston
Journal of Computing in Childhood Education, v9 n2 p149-92 1998
Examined whether use of robotics had a greater effect on elementary school children's achievement in science concepts and problem-solving abilities than use of battery-powered motorized manipulatives or no manipulatives. Found no significant difference in achievement from use of robotics except in programming language problem solving. Both robotics and battery-powered manipulatives made significant achievement differences compared to a traditionally taught class. (EV)
