Presents research dealing with the transition of school libraries into curriculum-integrated programs: centralized collections, qualified versus nonqualified librarians, achievement, attitudes, skills development, and flexible scheduling. Two studies by Kreiser (1991) and van Deusen show promise but more research is needed because schools across the nation are adopting the curriculum integrated philosophy. (59 references.) (PEN)
