Conduct Problems in Childhood and Psychosocial Outcomes in Young Adulthood: A Prospective Study.
Fergusson, David M.; Lynskey, Michael T.
Journal of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, v6 n1 p2-18 Spr 1998
Associations between parental and teacher reports of conduct problems at age eight and psychosocial outcomes at 18 were longitudinally examined with 1,265 New Zealand children. Overall, conduct problems at age eight predicted elevated rates of educational underachievement, juvenile offending, substance abuse/dependence, and mental health problems at 18, even after adjusting for social disadvantage, attentional difficulties, and IQ.
