Presents a brief summary of the development and impact of a project at Yorkshire's Sheffield Hallam University which participates with the local literacy program to increase access to higher education for members of minority communities. Discusses the national context; Sheffield's five community literacy campaigns (African-Caribbean, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Somali, and Yemeni communities); and the campaign and its impact. (SR)
