Attitudes to Language Learning: A Survey of Three Sydney High School Classes.
Rockwell, Chris
Babel: Australia, v30 n2 p12-17,36-37 Jul-Oct 1995
Discusses a survey designed to ascertain parent and student attitudes regarding second-language learning in high school and to determine the popularity of Indonesian, if offered. Findings reveal that Japanese is the preferred language, parental attitude is important, cultural background greatly influences language preference and students proficient in a second language have little desire for further language study.
