Examines assessment and counseling techniques that correspond to the sociocultural framework of Mexican American seniors. Acculturation, familial, and adaptation themes are explored to ensure appropriate interventions. Discusses stereotypes often ascribed to Mexican American seniors and adopts an ecological perspective.
