Conducted a nationwide survey of doctoral counselor education programs (N=51) to examine the relative emphases on instruction, supervision, scholarship, clinical practice, and leadership. Results revealed diversity in the intended roles for which students are prepared. Greatest emphasis was placed on counseling activities in the practicum and internship experiences. (RJM)
