The Effects of Visuals versus No Visuals on Learning Outcomes from Interactive Multimedia Instruction.
Myers, Sharon L.; Cronin, Michael W.
Journal of Computing in Higher Education, v8 n2 p46-71 Spr 1997
A study investigated effects of visuals use in interactive multimedia instruction in a college-level unit on listening skills in communication. Subjects (n=140 students) were randomly assigned to two treatment groups (use of visuals/no use of visuals). Results indicate no significant difference between groups on cognitive or listening tests scores. Reexamination of use of visuals is recommended. (Author/MSE)
