Examined the effects of mentor ethnicity, cultural sensitivity, and student level of cultural mistrust on perceptions of mentor credibility and cultural competence for 74 African American undergraduate males. Mentor ethnicity and the interaction between ethnicity and participant cultural mistrust were related to perceptions of mentor credibility and effectiveness. (SLD)
