Vocational Computing Skills and Social Science Students--Do They Mix? Some Evidence from an Interdisciplinary Degree Programme.
Jeffcote, Rod
Journal of Vocational Education and Training: The Vocational Aspect of Education, v49 n2 p253-65 1997
A survey of 42 information technology graduates with social science backgrounds and little prior computer experience found they not only acquired computer skills but also found relevant employment. Equipping social science and humanities students with specific vocational skills can thus result in satisfaction with schooling and positive employment results. (SK)
