Electronic Instruction at Carlson Library: Emerging Challenges.
Phillips, John C.; King-Blandford, Marcia
Internet Reference Services Quarterly, v2 n2-3 p79-92 1997
With the introduction of the library's OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog), CD-ROMs, the Internet, and OhioLINK, the University of Toledo library is faced with technological, instructional, and other challenges. The main challenge is the lack of a mediated classroom for group instruction. Current paper-based teaching methods do not always allow for patron interaction with the electronic resources they are learning about. (AEF)
