Evaluating the Effectiveness of Multimedia Computer Modules as Enrichment Exercises for Introductory Human Geography.
Proctor, James D.; Richardson, Anthony E.
Journal of Geography in Higher Education, v21 n1 p41-55 Mar 1997
Reports on an experiment designed to document the benefits of introducing computer exercises into an introductory human geography course. Suggests that the disappointing results reflect the fact that quantitative evaluation of multimedia effectiveness is ineffective due to the inherent complexity of learning. Recommends combining quantitative and qualitative research methods. (MJP)
