Evaluates the psychiatric sequelae of parents and siblings following the loss of a family member to suicide. Siblings showed no increased risk for depression despite a prolonged elevated level of grief symptomatology. Mothers experienced an increased rate of recurrence of depression, whereas fathers did not show an increased incidence of disorder. (RJM)
