Chronicle of Higher Education, v43 n41 pA12-A13 Jun 20 1997
A national survey of college faculty employment and attitudes reveals patterns in minority group employment, rank, tenure status, doctoral degrees, workload, sources of stress, professional goals, and perceptions of discrimination. Minority groups include American Indian, Asian, Black, and Latino. Data are also reported for both men and women. Scholars have responded to the survey's findings with concern. (MSE)
