Due to the multidimensional nature of depression, it is necessary to create assessment tools and treatment strategies that address the complex integration of the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions. Based on a review of medical and counseling literature, four dimensions of spiritual wellness are proposed. Suggests that training in human spirituality should be provided in counselor education programs. (LSR)
