Notes that few counseling psychologists publish research after obtaining their doctoral degree. Investigated predictors of research productivity and science-related career goals in doctoral students (N=267) from 15 counseling psychology programs. Findings indicate career goals and research productivity can be predicted by Holland personality type, perceptions of the research training environment, research interest, and research self-efficacy.
