School Effectiveness in Taiwanese Vocational Education: A Multi-Level Analysis.
Tang, Yao
Education Economics, v5 n1 p3-26 Apr 1997
Estimates the effects of three types of differences in Taiwanese vocational schools on students' achievement: institutional investment, student background, and learning processes. The analysis is based on multilevel modeling. Although some subgroups of the qualitative differences affect students' performance, student background has little effect on graduates, compared with institutional investment and learning processes.
