Classroom Variables That Appear To Affect Friendship Development in Young Children Who Are At-Risk.
Pruitt, Pamela; And Others
B.C. Journal of Special Education, v20 n3 p78-96 1996
This study of four young children at risk for disabilities investigated the interaction of classroom variables that enhance or inhibit the development and maintenance of relationships with typically developing peers within kindergarten settings. Results indicated that instrumental classroom variables were teacher philosophy, the physical classroom environment, academic activities, social development activities, and a responsive classroom environment.
