Comparison of a Computer Simulation Program and a Traditional Laboratory Practical Class for Teaching the Principles of Intestinal Absorption.
Dewhurst, D. G.; And Others
Advances in Physiology Education, v12 n1 pS95-S104 Dec 1994
Evaluates the effectiveness of an interactive computer-assisted learning program for undergraduate students that simulates experiments performed using isolated, everted sacs of rat small intestine. The program is designed to offer an alternative student-centered approach to traditional laboratory-based practical classes. Knowledge gain of students in this program was the same as that for students in conventional practical classes. (PVD)
