An Examination of the Interrelationships Between Workload, Study Time, Learning Approaches, and Academic Outcomes.
Kember, David; And Others
Studies in Higher Education, v21 n3 p347-58 Oct 1996
Examined the interrelationships between learning approaches, study motivation, hours of study, perceived workload, English language ability, and grade point average among 174 students in a mechanical engineering course at a Hong Kong university who completed a week-long study diary. Found that the variables were weakly interrelated. Perceived work load depended upon motivation as well as amount of work, for example. (MDM)
