Relationships among Children's Beliefs, Perceptions of Their Parents' Beliefs, and Their Moderate-to-Vigorous Physical Activity.
Kimiecik, Jay C.; And Others
Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, v67 n3 p324-36 Sep 1996
This study examined relationships between children's participation in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) and their beliefs about physical activities and participation as well as perceptions of their parents' beliefs. Children's beliefs about their MVPA significantly predicted variance in self-reported MVPA. Children's perceptions of their parents' beliefs were unrelated to their MVPA. (SM)
