Family Socialization and Children's School Outcomes: An Investigation of a Parenting Model.
Marjoribanks, Kevin
Educational Studies, v22 n1 p3-11 Mar 1996
Investigates the relationships between the characteristics of a parenting model and children's school outcomes. Utilizes interviews to identify and define parenting styles. Discovers that parenting styles affect academic achievement and school attitudes but do little to influence the relationship between intellectual ability and school outcomes. (MJP)
