Six keys to planning the high school best designed to meet the needs of students in the 22nd century are the following: (1) design for growth; (2) ensure technology access; (3) plan to fit the curriculum; (4) accommodate varied teaching styles; (5) welcome the community; and (6) site spaces for security.
