Disentangling the Interrelations between Hopelessness, Loneliness, and Suicidal Ideation.
Joiner, Thomas E.; Rudd, M. David
Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior, v26 n1 p19-26 Spr 1996
Attempts to disentangle the interrelations between hopelessness, loneliness, and suicidal ideation by comparing two models of their relationships among 234 undergraduates, using a series of multiple regression/correlation equations. Discusses implications of findings for the nomological status of hopelessness and loneliness as correlates of suicidality, and for exploration of the structural interrelations of suicide-related variables in general.
