Conflict Strategies and Resolutions: Peer Conflict in an Integrated Early Childhood Classroom.
Malloy, Heidi L.; McMurray, Paula
Early Childhood Research Quarterly, v11 n2 p185-206 Jun 1996
Examined the physical and verbal peer conflicts of nine typically developing children and eight children with disabilities in an integrated preschool. Several conflict constructs were examined including goals, oppositions, strategies, outcomes, and the teacher's role in peer conflict. Results suggest the need for active teacher involvement when children with disabilities participate in conflicts in integrated early childhood classrooms. (AA)
