Creative Behavior through Basic Inferences: Evidence from Person-Computer Interactions.

This article argues that, if creativity is measured by outcomes, then basic forms of reasoning (deduction, induction, abduction, specialization/generalization, and elementary memory associations) can be considered mildly creative. The claim is backed by references to computer programs that have generated creative outcomes. Limitations of this approach to creativity are also discussed. (DB)
