A Dialogue with Lisa Chin: An Asian-American Feminist Perspective.
McLaren, Peter
International Journal of Educational Reform, v3 n4 p456-63 Oct 1994
The terms "Asian" and "Pacific Islanders" capture diverse historical relationships and a powerful cultural/linguistic diversity. Many Asian-Pacific Americans have succeeded despite monumental prejudices and obstacles, including the "model minority" myth promoted by conservatives to limit affirmative action. Chin's research explores a feminist analysis of Asian American women's political participation from their own viewpoints. (MLH)
