Faculty Differences in University Attrition: A Comparison of the Characteristics of Arts, Education and Science Students Who Withdrew from Undergraduate Programs.
Johnson, Genevieve Marie
Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management, v18 n1 p75-91 May 1996
A study of 185 undergraduate students withdrawing from a publicly-funded Canadian university compared student characteristics and experiences (demography, academic performance, employment, financial support, social integration, personal circumstances, and perception of university learning experience) for three discipline areas (arts, education, sciences) and two withdrawal types (institution-initiated, student-initiated). Implications for student services are discussed. (Author/MSE)
