One family participated in a study evaluating the effectiveness of a device called Control-the-TV, aimed at reducing television viewing. The child in the study was required to ride a stationary bicycle for 15 minutes to view 30 minutes of television. Results suggest that Control-the-TV can be effective in reducing time spent viewing the television. (JPS)
