Uses Marxist analysis to criticize the concept of multiculturalism that suggests culturalism's flaw lies in its disjunction of the institutional practices of intellectuals from the operations of the centralized state and the power of corporate business. An agenda is proposed for ethnic culture workers that utilizes economic and cultural analysis to go beyond ethnic celebration to social regeneration. (GR)
