An Educational Perspective of Reservation Mental Health Service Deficit: The South Dakota Experience. Special Commentary.
Bhatara, Vinod S.; And Others
American Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research, v6 n3 p56-70 1995
Survey of reservation and nonreservation mental health professionals in south-central South Dakota found that for both groups, the greatest source of job dissatisfaction was lack of continuing education opportunities. Strategies to reduce dissatisfaction include reservation-university collaborations, increased training opportunities, recruitment of more American Indian professionals, and distance education solutions. Contains 29 references and comments by Scott Nelson. (SV)
