Social Skills and the Stability of Social Relationships between Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Other Community Members.
Newton, J. Stephen; And Others
Research in Developmental Disabilities, v17 n1 p15-26 Jan-Feb 1996
This study, with 15 individuals having intellectual disabilities, found that each participant's social skills moderately predicted the average social stability achieved by all of his/her social network members, but poorly predicted average social stability achieved by the participant's three most stable social network members. Social network member stability may be based on factors other than social skills. (DB)
